Congratulations to our Yr 13 – excellent outcomes in their exams this summer.

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 13 students who have performed so well in their examinations. We are incredibly proud of the results and the destinations which students are moving onto.

Some notable performances include:

Ahmad Mahmoodi who now has 3 A’s and 2 A*s in his A-Levels and is now off to study medicine at Queen Mary University.

Guni Chabra who achieved 4 Distinctions and Distinction* in his Digital Publishing and Business Diplomas. Guni is going to study Computer Science at the University of Kent.

Lui Piggangay who achieved triple Distinction* in his Games design and Computing courses and is off to study Computer Science for Cyber Security at Oxford Brookes University.

Mohmammed Dhaqane who got a Distinction* Distinction in his Business Diploma and a B in Economics A-Level and is now going to Southampton University to study Accounting and Finance.

Steffi Madub who got a Distinction Distinction in Business Diploma and a B in A-Level Spanish. Steffi is going to study International Business and Management at Royal Holloway.

Tayla Morris for her Distinction Dinstinction in Business Diploma and a B in her EPQ about women’s rights. She is off to Greenwich to study Law.

The Principal Mr Lockwood commented –

“We are absolutely delighted with our first set of post-16 results. Our range of specialist industry courses have enabled our students to go onto to an impressive range of university and apprenticeship courses, with many of them going straight into the world of work with our employer sponsors. Our BTEC outcomes, all the newly reformed 2016 BTECs with external examinations, saw over 68% of scores graded at Distinction or Distinction*. Computing and Digital Games Design were the stand out departments showing the benefit our students have got from key industry involvement, perhaps best showcased by the 8 students who are now CompTIA trained network engineers. There were also notable individual successes for students who took A-Levels and EPQs and other industry courses such as AAT accountancy. Most importantly all of our students are going onto bigger and better things and we wish them every success in the future.”
